This review contains Spoilers ⚠️

The best performance, in my opinion, was by Kiera Allen. Especially when the character Diane locks up Chloe in the basement, and she shivers and cries out of fear for her "fake mother". She represented the betrayed teenage girl to the word, and honestly exceeded my expectations. Sarah Paulson did an amazing job too, you know what they say, when you hate the person playing the role, they did too good a job.

The screenplay and dialogues were so good, organized and apt to the storytelling too.

The story itself seemed so real, especially when we get hints throughout the movie. Chloe being disconnected to the world - no phone, no personal computer, no internet!? - just nothing that is hers; not getting into any college despite being smart, and the house being secluded. Her only contact is through her mother. This is really an edge-of-the-seat, extremely relatable, easily real kinda story.

A must watch!

Tschüss!
