A Simple Morning

Tumbling in my bed, with a smile

on my face, I feel the

soft sun shining through the

blinds of my window.

I feel my forgetfulness,

rather pleasant than alarming,

certain I had a joyous dream.

I could hardly open my eyes

crinkled poorly by the smile.

After an extensive stretch

I finally sat down to find a

kitten cuddled up against me.

While petting him, a memory flashes

and, I feel grateful, that I can

think, and remember.

Oh, how good the mornings are!
